Description

Einnovations & The Soundshop are hosting an event this Friday in Flatiron. Artists will perform original compositions with an array of instruments invented across the last two millennia, merged with technology to create distinct sounds. The event will also feature a panel discussion around the future of fundraising for musicians bringing together known methods (i.e. Kickstarter) with emerging technologies such as blockchain.

PERFORMING ARTISTS

*** MATT CHILTON ***

*** KATHERINE REDLUS ***

*** STEPHEN CHEN ***

*** LILY DESMOND ***

We'll have BOOZE and PIZZA for all attendees. After we'll go to The Storehouse to continue conversations! Each artist has transcended the limits and expectations of their instruments to create new sonic textures and soundscapes.

• By combining various electric accouterments with these acoustic instruments, they have expanded their compositional and improvisational capabilities.

• The artists will not only perform original pieces, but will bring the audience into the action by talking about how instruments and technology merge to create distinct sounds.

• Ei will discuss how musicians traditionally raised capital to fund their projects versus today’s methods of financing through advancements in technology.
