WILD ROOTS>>>>> You are invited to immerse yourself in the wildness of nature on this magical weekend soul medicine retreat! The retreat will take place at Growing Heart Farm, a beautiful and bountiful space just a short train ride/ drive from New York City. The Farm is nestled in the Catskills, close to the Appalachian trail. On the property itself there is a swimming hole, an outdoor shower, hammocks, a fire pit, sacred trees, and ample space for outdoor camping. Indoor accommodations are available in the communal farmhouse. During our stay, we will be nourished by seasonal farm fresh food with every meal! Sarah and Kristen will be offering indoor & outdoor activities including: Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Sound, Crafting, Group Healing, and Sacred Ceremony. While you are encouraged to participate in all offerings, you are also welcome to opt out if you feel called to do so. There will also be plenty of time for you to rest, restore, and to enjoy the beauty of being in Nature. This weekend is family friendly and open to all. Feel free to reach out to us if you would like to bring your child, so we can discuss. This will be a safe space for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, and nationalities. Come as you are! Our intention for the Wild Roots Retreat is not only to embrace the wildness of nature and the wildness within ourselves, but to cultivate a sense of grounding and connection to Mother Earth. // SCHEDULE // Friday, 9.14 We ask that you arrive any time in the late afternoon/ early evening on this day, to get settled, pitch your tent if you are camping, and relax after your travels. Ideally we’d like you to arrive sometime between 4pm-6pm. Please try to arrive no later than 7pm! We will begin the retreat with a communal farm fresh meal, followed by an opening circle to get to know your fellow retreat goers, leading into a candle-lit Yin Yoga practice with Reiki assists. You are invited to rest early this night to prepare your mind & body for the full day ahead. Saturday, 9.15 An energizing Yoga practice will be offered at 7:00am, and breakfast will follow. The rest of our morning will be spent outdoors exploring the land around us. We will infuse this exploration with a variety of meditative and healing practices, allowing nature to be our guide, and inviting in collective harmony & joy. The afternoon will provide ample time for you to embrace your wild roots! You can take a swim, go for an extended hike, or simply walk around the farm barefoot and enjoy the sunshine. If you would like to schedule a private healing session with Sarah or Kristen, you would have the opportunity to reserve those services during this time. A hearty lunch will also be served at noon. In the late afternoon we’ll reconvene for more magical group activities, focusing on creating art with nature. After we enjoy our dinner, a special Yin Yoga practice with Reiki assists will be offered, followed by a Sound Bath. Later on, we will meet by the fire to celebrate our last night together under the waxing moon. Sunday, 9.16 There will be one more sweet morning to enjoy each other’s company and the sacred space that we have co-created. A Yoga practice will be offered to honor the wildness within!
