SUGGESTED DONATION: $5-$25 ALL donations provided will help support emergency relief efforts for residents in NYC in need of everything from meals and basic hygiene, to virtual tutoring, and school programming for underprivileged youth. More details can be found here.
WHAT WE'LL DO: 1) Coffee & Connection from your Couch: We’ll kick off in front of one of Brooklyn’s finest coffee spots and I'll share some history about this roastery. We'll have some fun icebreakers for the group, offer each other some encouraging words of support during this challenging time.
2) Virtual Street Art Tour Featuring 30+ Muralists: Together, we'll explore the surrounding walls of the Graff Arts Collective— a fairly-hidden gem in East Williamsburg. We'll learn about dozens of muralists and graffiti pros, as I (virtually) tour you around the neighborhood. I'll pause and zoom in as needed so guests can take their time viewing the works in more detail.
3) Tap into Brooklyn’s Graffiti, Pour a Drink, & Chat: We'll explore a few more dynamic walls showing the evolution of graffiti in NYC. I'll share some of the artist's unique stories, common techniques, and the cultural roots of NYC’s street art scene. We'll finish up with a cold drink of your choosing and time for Q&A and conversation.
ABOUT YOUR HOST: My name is Ariel (you can call me Ari). I'm a product designer with a decade of experience shooting urban photography, studying graffiti styles, and connecting with Brooklyn’s street art community. I’m usually on a bike searching for the next coffee spot with good rhythms. I'm thrilled to offer guests a dynamic street art experience with a range of sights and tastes to indulge in! USING ZOOM TO ATTEND: We will send out a registration link via Zoom 48 hrs before the start of your booking. Please try to get everything set up prior to the video call start time so we do not have any technical delays. Try to tune in on a larger screen (if you have one), so you can see the murals in more detail. It would be amazing if you could also add a fun backdrop of your favorite piece of artwork before you join the tour! You can download the app for free here.
