The UN Commission on the Status of Women provokes discussion of women’s issues. There is no more important road ahead of us than involving more activists, young people and MEN. As we honor International President Sonja Honig Schough, we will gather to find out more about how we can engage more men in our movement. The right to vote - suffrage - was won because men supported it. We need to move the agenda forward. Fred Sullivan, Executive Director of the Man Up Campaign, will be our guest speaker. Fred recently was recognized by the Metro Chapter of UN Women as a Champion of Change for his work to stand up for women worldwide.  The Man Up Campaign, in 33 countries, works primarily with youth, engaging them in discussion about masculinities and ending gender-based violence and discrimination. Along with a number of partners they intend to support Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals - to empower women! Please join us for dinner and conversation about HeForShe and other initiatives to empower women worldwide. Menu: salad, chicken entree, dessert and coffee/tea.  Cash bar. If coming as a group, please register each person separately.  Open seating. If you have dietary restrictions please email us so we can discuss it with the kitchen. Since seating is open, please let us know in advance if your group wishes to be seated together and we will do our best!
